Artemis is the goddess of animals, chastity, childbirth, children, hunting, and virginity. She is the daughter of Zeus and Leto, and the twin sister of Apollo. She and Apollo were born on the island of Delos. Artemis was born first, and helped her mother deliver her brother. Artemis is a virgin goddess. Her sacred animal is the stag, and the mood her sacred symbol.
