Pantheon: Roman, Italian
Ceres is a goddess of agriculture, fertility, and grain. She symbolises nature's regenerative powers, and was offered a sacrifice after a funeral to purify the house of the deceased. Ceres was associated with Demeter and Tellus. She was worshipped during the Cerealia in April, the Paganalia in January, and the Ambarvalia in May, and had a fast day on October 4th. Emeralds are sacred to Ceres.
