Nefertem is the god of Perfumes, Scents, and the Sun. His sacred plant is the Lotus Flower. Nefertem is the son of Ptah and Sekhmet. He is sometimes combined with Horus.

In art, Nefertem appears as a man holding a lotus blossom or lotus sceptre, or a curved sword. He may also appear as a young man reclining on a lotus blossom, or with a lions's head. His crown has either a lotus blossom alone, or a lotus blossom flanked by two feathers, and he may be seen standing on a lion.
