Polyhymnia is one of the nine Muses, the daughters of Zeus and Mnemosyne. Mt. Parnassus is sacred to them. Polyhymnia is the muse of sacred poetry, oratories, singing, hymns, rhetoric, and geometry. Her name means "many songs remembered". Polyhymnia is often portrayed with pearls and small flowers in her hair, and wearing a white dress and a veil.
