Quirinus, a god of war, is the name taken by Romulus after his death and deification. He was originally worshipped by the Sabines on the Quirinal Hill, but was appropriated by the Romans after the Sabines were conquered by them. Quirinus forms a triad with Jupiter and Mars. He was served by the Flamen Quirinalis. Quirinus is married to Hora. His festival was held on February 17th.
