Shezmu is the god of perfume, wine, and oil presses. In very early texts he was shown to be the one who butchered and cooked the other gods so that Khonsu could consume them.

In art Shezmu appears as a man working at an oil press. Although he usually has a man's head, he has also been depicted with a ram's head, a lion's head, and as a hawk.
