Vedovus is a god of the dead, swamps, and volcanic movements, and sometimes regarded as the king of the Di Manes. He is considered to be Jupiter's opposite. Festivals for Vedovus were held on January 1st, March 7th, and May 21st.

A female goat was the proper sacrifice to Vedovus when someone died.

In art Vedovus appears as a young man carrying a set of arrows and is accompanied by a goat.
