Vidar is one of the Aesir, a god of peace and strength. He is the personification of the primeval forest. Vidar is the son of Odin and Grid. The only god stronger than him is Odin. Vidar lives in Landvidi.

In art, Vidar appears as tall, handsome man wearing armor. He carries a broad sword and wears either an iron or leather shoe.
