Perpetual Calendar

This series of tables will allow you to figure out the day of the week or any day in any year from 1600-2799 according to the Gregorian Calendar.

Step 1:
Find the number for the year. The section in yellow is the first two digits of the year (go horozontal), the section in gold is the last two digits for the year (go vertical). Where the two columns for the years meet is a single digit number with an orange background. Remember this number, as you will need it for Step 2.
For Example: I'm going to find a date in 1980. I find the 19 on a yellow background, the 80 with the gold background, go across and up to get the number 2 with an orange backround.

Step 2:
Using the single digit number from Step 1, find that number in the top row (it's orange coloured). Go down until you find the month you are looking for with a green background. Remember the new single digit number found there (with a light green background), as you'll need it for Step 3. January and February in (Parentheses) should be used when said month happens in a leap year.
For Example: I'm looking for a date in January, 1980. I've already found the number for 1980 (it's a 2), so I look in the 2 column until I find (January)--1980 is a leap year, so I need to use the January in parentheses. The box where they meet has a 2 in it.

Step 3:
Using the single digit number from Step 2 (in light green), find that number in the first column (it's light green). Go down to the bottom and find the day of the month you are looking for with a blue background. Go across and up and where the two meet is the day of the week (with a light blue background) that that day, of that month, of that year happened on.
For Example: I want to find January 13th. The Number for the January I want is 2 (I found that in Step 2). I find the 13 with a blue background, and go across and up to find Sunday. SO now I know that January 13, 1980 was a Sunday.
